Text by Barbara Ferraro, illustrations by Gabriele Pino. In the last pages of the Almanac of ordinary and festive days we left Nino struggling with a setback, he had not been able to return to the library. Something had gone wrong. But what?
Nino has forgotten an essential part of the magic formula. The spell, pronounced incompletely, has only worked halfway and now he finds himself stuck in an enchanted world, in the heart of winter and the woods. Emma and Caterina will need to intervene to save him but in the meantime,
Nino does not lose heart and collects fresh and wonderful words.
Nino collects the words in precious and unique notebooks. This second notebook, found by the librarian, also has some ruined pages, faded definitions, incomplete illustrations. It is up to the reader to reconstruct the original meaning, or invent a new one, to make the notebooks
Nino's rare perfect again.CURIOSITY':
090 is the code used in the Dewey decimal bibliographic classification for manuscripts and rare books, like those Nino enters in search of ancient words, that no one uses anymore or with surprising meanings. He collects them in precious and unique notebooks of which the ones you have in your hands are faithful reproductions. It's a pity that time and weather, or some adventurous accident, have
ruined some pages, faded or torn some of his sketches.
It is up to the reader to reconstruct the original meaning, or invent a new one, to make Nino's rare notebooks perfect again.
